The Book That Wasn’t Supposed to Happen

There was no grand plan. No roadmap. Just a handful of voice memos recorded beside mountain passes, scribbled lines under van-light, and the vague sense that something worth remembering was happening.

The book — Where the Olive Trees Meet the Snow — began as a quiet promise to myself: remember how this feels.

It’s not a guidebook. It’s a journey through moments.
The kind that unfold slowly — a sunrise over Tarifa, a coffee in Cádiz, a laugh shared with a stranger in a snowed-in village.
It’s about movement, yes — but also stillness. About the connection between places and people, between freedom and home.

And Bow Boe? She’s in it all.
From her first tentative steps into the sea in Orpesa, to her dramatic standoff with a drone in Nirvana, she’s the heartbeat of this story.

Now, several months later, the words are nearly ready.

Here’s a small excerpt:

“Somewhere between the olive trees and the snow, I stopped running and started noticing. The road didn’t save me. But it did bring me back to myself.”

The book is coming soon. You can be the first to know by joining the newsletter.

Thanks for following along. The journey continues.

Warmly, Steve & Bow Boe
